D-Link DES-F1010P-E 8FE PoE 2GE Uplink Switch
High transmission distance
With high distance connectivity, ideal for surveillance solution. Can be used with cat5e or cat6 cable.
IEEE 802.3af /at Power over Ethernet (PoE)
The DES-F1010P-E features eight 10/100BASE-TX ports that support the IEEE 802.3af/at PoE protocol. With total power budget of 120W, each of the these PoE ports can supply up to 15W.
Plug & Play Installation
The DES-F1010P-E is a Plug-and-Play device that requires no configuration, so setup is simple and hassle-free, and you can easily connect multiple computers, share files, music, and video across your home or small office network, or even create a multiplayer gaming environment. 802.3x flow control on each port minimizes dropped packets when the port’s receiving buffer is full, giving you a more reliable connection for all of your connected devices.
Comprehensive Product Overview
The D-Link DES-F1010P-E is a 10-port Fast Ethernet PoE switch tailored for modern security surveillance and small business networks . This robust, unmanaged switch features eight Fast Ethernet PoE ports alongside two Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports. It bridges the gap between high-power delivery and reliable data transmission. It eliminates the need for complex software management, making it an ideal plug-and-play solution for deploying IP cameras, access points, and VoIP systems.
High-Power PoE Capabilities
This switch simplifies network deployment by carrying data and electrical power over a single Ethernet cable.
- Standards : Fully supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE/PoE+ protocols.
- Power Budget : Delivers up to 30 watts per individual port with a generous 120W total PoE budget .
- Compatibility : Safely powers high-draw devices like pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras and Wi-Fi 6 access points.
Dedicated Gigabit Uplinks
Unlike standard switches that throttle data at the bottleneck, this model features two dedicated Gigabit uplink ports .
- High-Speed Aggregation : Provides smooth 1000 Mbps connections to your core network router, Network Video Recorder (NVR), or server.
- Dual Uplinks : Allows you to connect to an NVR and an internet gateway simultaneously without sacrificing any downstream PoE ports.
Intelligent Hardware Toggle Modes
The front panel features a physical DIP switch that activates four smart, hardware-integrated modes to optimize performance without a management interface:
[ EXTEND ] ---> Drops speed to 10Mbps to extend PoE transmission up to 250 meters.
[ VLAN ] ---> Isolates PoE ports from each other to prevent broadcast storms.
[ QoS ] ---> Prioritizes video packets to guarantee smooth surveillance feeds.
[ POE ] ---> Watchdog mode automatically power-cycles frozen or crashed IP devices.
- Extend Mode : Overcomes the standard 100-meter Ethernet limitation. It extends power and data delivery up to 250 meters at 10 Mbps speed, which is perfect for expansive outdoor camera layouts.
- VLAN Mode : Isolates the downstream ports from one another while allowing communication with the uplinks. This boosts security and prevents malicious lateral network movement.
- QoS (Quality of Service) : Automates traffic prioritization. It ensures that critical video and voice data receive maximum bandwidth, eliminating choppy footage or dropped frames.
- Intelligent PoE Watchdog : Constantly monitors the status of connected devices. If a camera stops responding, the switch automatically power-cycles the specific port to reboot the frozen device.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Built to endure challenging installation environments, the DES-F1010P-E focuses on longevity and resilience.
- Surge Protection : Features robust 6kV lightning protection on all ports to safeguard internal circuitry against voltage spikes.
- Fanless Architecture : Housed in a rugged, compact metal chassis that dissipates heat passively, ensuring dead-silent operation and fewer moving parts to fail.
- Flexible Mounting : Desktop and wall-mountable design allows for clean installation inside compact security cabinets or office spaces.
Technical Specifications Summary
- Total Ports : 10 Ports (8 x 10/100 Mbps PoE + 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps Uplink)
- PoE Budget : 120 Watts
- Switching Capacity : 5.6 Gbps bandwidth
- MAC Address Table : 16K entries
