Gnanam Sellathurrai is a visionary entrepreneur, accomplished business leader, and one of Sri Lanka’s experienced ICT distribution professionals, with more than 25 years of expertise in technology distribution, business strategy, sales leadership, and channel development. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Forttune Channels (Pvt) Ltd, he is committed to driving innovation, empowering business partners, and creating sustainable growth within Sri Lanka’s rapidly evolving technology sector.

Since founding Forttune Channels in 2020, Gnanam has successfully transformed the company into a trusted ICT distribution partner by focusing on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and long-term strategic partnerships. Established during one of the most challenging periods in recent history, the company has demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and steady growth, earning the confidence of leading global technology brands and an expanding network of channel partners across Sri Lanka.

Under his leadership, Forttune Channels continues to strengthen its market presence by delivering innovative technology solutions and expanding its portfolio through strategic collaborations with internationally recognized manufacturers. Before establishing Forttune Channels, Gnanam built an outstanding career with several of Sri Lanka’s leading ICT distribution organizations. Gnanams Career started as Sales Executive and rose to General Manager and Director in leading Distributio IT companies. Throughout his career, Gnanam has earned a reputation for building high-performing teams, strengthening channel ecosystems, launching successful technology brands, and developing sustainable business partnerships. 

Gnanam holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Mahatma Gandhi University, India. His academic background, combined with extensive hands-on leadership experience, has shaped his strategic approach to business growth, organizational excellence, digital transformation, and sustainable value creation. He is passionate about nurturing future-ready businesses by embracing innovation, strengthening partnerships, and developing people.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Gnanam has made significant contributions to the advancement of Sri Lanka’s ICT industry through his long-standing involvement with the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS). Over the years, he has served in several leadership roles within the ICT Infrastructure Chapter, working closely with industry stakeholders to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, professional development, and the adoption of emerging technologies that strengthen the nation’s digital economy.

Gnanam served as the President of the FITIS ICT Infrastructure Chapter for the 2023–2024 term, providing leadership during a period of renewed growth and collaboration within Sri Lanka’s ICT industry. He also served as the Chairman of INFOTEL 2023, the country’s premier ICT exhibition, which brought together leading global technology brands, industry professionals, government institutions, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts under one platform. The event was inaugurated by the then President of Sri Lanka, Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, and attended by Cabinet Ministers, senior government officials, diplomatic representatives, and industry leaders, underscoring its significance as the nation’s flagship technology exhibition. Under Gnanam’s leadership, INFOTEL 2023 was widely recognized as one of the most successful editions in the post-pandemic era, reinforcing FITIS’s commitment to driving digital transformation, innovation, and the continued growth of Sri Lanka’s ICT ecosystem.
